Game Notes
10/20/2009 Had a great showing against Pearl.  We put points on the board consistantly and played well defensively.  We defeated Pearl 29 to 26 in overtime.  We had a couple of breakdowns in the second half that cost us points.  Defensively gave up a big run to start the half and allowed a kickoff return for touchdown.   Had some questionable calls at the end of the game that allowed Pearl extra downs.  We should have stopped them a few plays earlier though.

All in all, it was a very good performance.  It was what we were looking for the entire year.  Thank you for allowing your child to play for SHJH.  We feel we accomplished our main goal of getting many kids to get the opportunity to get on the field.  We had several kids that were 5th quarter guys from 8th grade that played a significant role for us.  I feel they will continue to play football and be able to help on the high school level.

We will continue workouts 7th period, but they will go home at the end of the school.  They should bring workout clothes everyday.  Everyday they do not work out, it will count against them as pertaining to grades.
